We just arrived home again after spending the summer on our boat in No CA. It was getting cold and it's nice to be back in warm weather. Great drive
down with the highway in pretty good shape most of the way. Looks like they are widening the road wherever major work is being done.
Passed the new Wal-Mart/Sam's Club site entering town. Doesn't look like it will be long before the grand openings. Now I read where construction will
soon start on another commercial mall in the same area. Stores expected to open include: "Liverpool, MM Cinemas, Soriana, Coppel, Home Depot, Costco,

Interesting question: How big is La Paz?
The population is reported to be 176,500 and the number of visitors a year is 145,000. But, as a local, you know that the city was packed in 2000 the
local population has been growing? So, lets say the population for 2008-2009 winter for La Paz is approximately, 225,000 and the number of visitors,
both National and Foreign, will be 150,000 (versus 1.5mil for Cabo) means that the average population is about 250,000-350,000 with greater numbers
over Christmas and New Years.
Now I have been to parts of La Paz where the people say they have never been to the water, and I have been to other parts where people say they never
have been to the mountains. It sure seems like a big city to me, I think the number is bigger than the reported numbers, I think the number for the
area of La Paz is 350,000 and the visitors 200,000, but its spread out.
