MULEGE- now has a professional computer repair guy

CasaManzana - 11-13-2008 at 12:38 PM

Mulege's best kept secret- Hugo Martinez! I cannot recommend this guy too much. He can fix any computer-related issue you might have...virus problems...add memory...
a stuck this-or-that...a loose whatyamacallit....you name it. He has an arrangement to quickly get computer parts up from La Paz.
And he wants me to remind you to NEVER throw out any type of computer, no matter how shot you think it is. He takes useless computers apart to make one good one, which he then donates to Mulege's outstanding students.
He lives in the Cacheno neighborhood (south end) of Mulege. His phone #'s: 044-615-16-17-123 / 615-15-3-07-55
Email- hugoyjosefina@live.com.mx
Oh boy...had to edit this because I forgot to mention that Hugo has a license to add software programs (like Microsoft WORD) to your computer and he offeres a discount for these.

Does he work on MAC laptops? Mine has been a horrible machine. I have always had PCs and know my way around computors. My MAC was shipped directly from China three years ago, and i found that it had someone else's passwords in it. I called Apple Tech Support and he said to reinstall the whole system CDs. When I got to the password set up, it wouldn't accept new ones without me knowing the old administrator's password. Tech Support figured out a work around, but it has been a dud from the beginning. I assume it was someone else's defective reject and returned to the factory. The damned thing is a "cute" toy, but it is not a serious computor for grown ups.

The reason I didn't return it was because I was going to Mulege right away and needed the laptop for the season.

It crashes constantly. Nobody has been able to get it to connect with Linksy routers. And it won't open many extensions and videos. Many MAC afficianados swear by them and don't believe me until they try to fix mine. I wouldn't wish this dud on a kid.

I am hearing great things about the new MAC operating system, but I don't think I would ever buy another one. For me, I will bite the bullet and get a PC laptop and get all the security software and maybe install a moat with alligators around my office.

I am interested to see if I can skip it across the river with just one
bounce.:bounce: Right now I am practicing my rotational shotput launch.

In order to not hijack this thread with offers of help, or opinions of how dumb I may be (I am just venting), I am asking that this thread remain on topic. The
important part of my rant was the question, "does he work on MAC laptops?".
