I still think it's a good option and can imagine a way to do it, I'm a computer programmer.
You would go to the profile of the person you want to ignore, click an "ignore this user" button. That would write your user id and the "ignorant's"
user id to a database table. Then the query that is run when the message thread display is built would be modified to filter out any posts from users
on your ignore list.
Your profile would display a list of users you are ignoring (only when you are viewing it) and have an option to remove users from the ignore list.
Sysadmin - I'll write the code if you want to try it. PHP and MySQL are my current languages, I write code every day. This is an Open Source system,
right?
