a buddy sent this to me the other week and i thought it was too cool. gotta be the smallest lobster on the block. he found it in a tide pool while exploring with his son. any guesses as to the age of this little guy?

When I lived in south Florida we used to catch tiny lobster to put in our saltwater aquariums.
They will really keep the tank clean; even the glass !

stopped going there after last 2 times getting ripped by those fockers. and in the 80s it was all good every time i went.
between the traffic and border lines i have no reasons left to ever drive from TJ to Ensenada anymore.
but i like driving from Ensenada north to a few fav spots, maybe 20 miles of it.

A bunch of us were invited to San Pablo for an awesome bug lunch...what a great spot. The lobster fishermen there reported that out of their 80 traps, they get about 40 legal size lobsters a day...that's alot of trap hauling and throwing back the little guys to keep only 1 or 2 per trap. We also ate sheepshead and tuna pate with about a thousand tecates in the coolers....needless to say...a good time was had by all AND we heard a great UFO story about the spaceship that hovered over the camp about a month ago.

Baby lobsters living inside shellfish!
In side of the large scallops we dug out of the tidal zone in Bahia Conception we often found tiny little transparent lobsters, likely living off the stuff the shell fish ate or excreted.
Has anyone else ever noticed them?

Last year at Santispec we found baby lobster in scallops, that were transparent. Takes a lot of them to make a meal. Just deep fry, dip in buttter ,wash down with a cold cervasa ummmmm good. :o:o:o:o:lol::lol::lol:
