Sorry I rushed back to my casa to call the local policia and did not upload the pic correctly. I need to review sizing and finish what has turned out
to be a real story.
I returned to the 25'-30' boat and my neighbor -without camera-I was informed that in the short time I was gone a boat of 3 pescadors stopped and went
aboard and removed the foul weather gear and a large bundle of????? It was forward and not visible as it was stowed. More pics of local, municipal,

This is the first pic of the semi-beached boat. This is a test of my compression skills. So be patient, this story is good.
Notice the 5-200hp Yamahas. No running lights and appears to have been off loaded.

This photo will give you a better perspective as to location. I'd say a tamale toss from the Blow Hole. After securing the boat and calling police I
returned to the scene, my vecino pointed to the orange panga that had helped itself to the goodies that were stored under the bow covering. He told me
he had yelled at them yielding not even a glance. The pangero was casually going about his business until local policemen arrived on scene.
We pointed out the panga, gave the numbers on the boat and pointed to the boat now heading north at a moderate clip. I told the officer he could race
to the point and meet them. He jumped in his truck and went up towards Celias restaurant in the opposite direction??? When he returned 10 minutes
later he told us he had to use their phone!! We waited and maybe 30-45minutes when a
Maneadero blue/green truck with a 2 stripped insignia (corporal) and another officer showed up. We explained what happened and watched as they took
pics of the bobbing boat. Next, (45mins) came another boat around the corner from the Blow Hole that for some reason just hung out in the bay and did
not approach the boat. I then found out they do not have communications with the Army who was in the floundering boat.
Wife says end saga!!!

Finally after hours the Marina/navy shows up in the 50cal gunboat I have met at Todos Santos. They are the drug checkers? They flounder and wait out
near the blowhole. The Army boat gets close to the rocks, cops jump on boat and find a long nylon line, walk the boat over the rocks and toss the line
to the Army boat.
The military arrives and unloads a group of masked kids who secure the area over looking the bay.
The Army tows the confiscated boat out into bay, Marines move on the Army and take boat.
As an aside, the Army boat and the confiscated boat looked identical except for color. Army Blue on White, the other was Grey????
I don't think there was any communication between any of the agencys other than hand signals.

I have heard that the Marina fired on the panga that was heading south,not north as stated, hitting engine and stopped boat. Will need verification.

Interesting story. Notice the mystery boat doesn't have seats; but, has baffles. Possibly to keep the "cargo" from moving around in heavy seas,
etc..
I once lived for a short time with a family of fishermen on the coast of Michoacan. They told me never to roam the beach at night because of boats
like this. I was also informed that these boats would meet up with larger boats from Colombia far out at sea.. then off-load their "cargo" on remote
beaches at night.

I used to own and operate a facility for emotionally disturbed delinquent boys and we used to camp and explore a lot in the winter. One year we were
camped south of Puerto Libertad which is on the mainland between Puerto Penasco and Kino Bay. One afternoon we saw a boat almost exactly like the one
you have pictured except it only had twin motors, which was totally unusual since most pangas only had singles. It came to anchor in the bay at the
south end of our camp and since it looked very suspicious, we told all of the boys not to come out of their tents that night if they heard anything
suspicious. About midnight, five large trucks took the wrong turn and came directly into the middle of our camp and when they saw the tents and
stuff, they knew they had missed a turn. We screamed at the boys to not come out of their tents and keep their heads low. Finally the trucks got
turned around and made it over the rise to the bay. With a fairly good moon, I snuck out of my tent and hid behind a large cirio cactus and watched
while they unloaded a large amount of cargo which was loaded into the "cube cargo trucks". The kids all ran down the next morning hoping that they

Something must have been going on the night of Nov. 16-17. This patrol boat came by Las Gaviotas at 7:00AM Nov. 17th and stopped every boat in the
bay, even a lobster boat from Puereto Nuevo! (Bugs-on-Drugs?)

This is the same boat that took/accepted the boat from the Army boat when they towed it out of the bay.
It's also the same boat that has stopped me in my boat at Todos Santos. Memory seems to say it had twin 4 stroke monsters that made it leap after they
left me and my petrified friends from the states to continue fishing.
BTW-I stand corrected on the comment that word was the pangeros were shot at and apprehended. My vecino saw the panga this a.m. back in the bay
pulling traps. So much for solving the drug problem.
