If anybody has some suggestions on good eats in San Jose they'd be most welcome. Know the spots in Cabo but not San Jose. Going surfing next week,
staying in San Jose. Also, is thier a Gigante in Town?
Thanks

No Gigante, Aramburos.
Mariscos Sandy on the HWY in from the airport has great shrimp tacos, ceveche, and good value.
Resturante Jazmin around the corner from the Church off Zaragosa has good breakfast and lunch specials.

Two of our favorites are:
El Meson de Ahorcado (The Hangman) http://www.guajirodreams.com/bajamundo/hangman.html
They have excellent and inexpensive tacos that will make you drool. Buy your own beer around the corner at the market and the waiter will give you a
glass and think you are a regular. There is a great atmosphere and a mixture of tourists and locals. Open after 6:30 PM.
The other place we love is De Giorgios off the highway to Cabo on the left on the first big hill after costa azul. This is not the one in Cabo, but
the original place. Make a u turn at the gas station and you will see their gate on the right as you head back towards SJ. They have a new chef that
did a great job for us a month ago. More expensive here though. With dessert, wine and a $30 bottle of limoncello for the road, the bill came to $100
for two, and worth every penny. The moon over the water view from the terrace in great. Enjoy, and give us a surf report when you return.

Great link! Thanks. Looks like you'll get your dose. Hot and glassy!
Remember Chopy and avoid the Rusty Putter!!

Of the "higher end" restaurants in town, Damiana should be mentioned... it's on the plaza across from the Mission.
Try to get a table on the patio.

Appreciate the help. Great site. I've been going down to Loreto since 1972, the first year of Hwy. 1. Awesome place to travel for the young and old.
Good traveling to all!

Don't miss Hangmans for inexpensive good food. Also, for a great food and fabulous live music, Havannah's. A little pricey but certainly worth it
for a special night our. Try to talk Sheila (owner/operator along with husb Carlos)into singing...fabulous!!!!
We also had a great lunch in a little deli in the plaza that is located next to the Fiesta
Inn. Again, quite pricey(we found everything expensive in San Jose compared to last year!!)
