For anyone using StarChoice Canadian satellite TV in BCS, I have some questions:
1. Is anyone using the dual or quad feed to get both satellites, Anik F1 and F2?
2. If so, what size dish are you using?
3. Where are you located?
4. Are you getting HD programming?
5. Did you have to make any special mods to your feed mount to get both satellites?
We mostly do Dish Network but have had some requests lately for StarChoice.

Have had Star Choice here in Nopolo for around 10 years.
Have a small elongated dish and have 2 HD receivers with one 42 inch older tube type Sony and one 47 inch 1080 i/p television. Reception in HD
excellent. Get all the channels we subscribe to and no difference which satellite we hook on to.
You can get most info on their website. Just Google it.
Besides getting the networks east and west, you have coast to coast coverage of all the Canadian broadcasting ,which is mainly American and also a
great array of music stations.
By far the best TV programming buy in Baja.

I have it in Loreto but as far as I know I only tune in one satellite. That gives me all the stations in the brochure.
I do not have the HD receiver. I just recently got a modern TV, but it's only a small one that gets the lower (700) resolution.
Interesting thought: They just added HBO Canada to the lineup. HBO had to cut a deal with the Canadian government, which must approve all broadcast
content. HBO agreed to 25% Canadian content on HBO Canada. But guess what...when I went to the HBO Canada website for scheduling, I was blocked from
the website for being in Mexico. The "World Wide Web" has boundaries now.

Interesting. Do you know what size dish you have?
You may be able to use a proxy server to access the HBO Canada site. Try http://freeproxyserver.net.
Note, may not work with all sites, especially secure https:// type sites.
I'd test it for you but I'm currently in the US.

The regular elliptical dish works fine in La Paz, you are allowed more than one reciever for a nominal fee.
