We bought this bottle in August 2007 and put in the wine cooler and kind of forgot about it. We did not particualy like the whites we tasted but we
must of liked this as we bought it. Anyway, we opened it this week and it was quite good - we are generaly cheap wine drinkers ($15 is a lot to spend
for us) so I'm assuming it must be in this range. The winery is a few miles west of L.A. Ceto and about a mile north of the highway as I remember.

for all you $2 buck charlie fans....WalMart is selling some joy juice called Oak Hill in all three most common varietals for $1.97 a bottle.
so i picked up a few while getting meds at the pharmacia there Wed.
surprize!!! the Cab was quite good altho can't say if it will be consistent (charlies is NOT so i never get it) having opened only 2 botles. I am
going back today for a case or 2 at that price - only the Cab tho.
the chard was bitter and high acid, fruit masked. the merlot had a phunny after taste.
but - the cab was better than any boxed or most other 1.5 liter jumbo name i can recall from recent memory.

The Wine at Wal Mart is OAK LEAF
We buy it often! The Pino Grigio is very good in our opinion. We are not Red wine drinkers so will not speak for that! We liked the Chardonay also.
You cannot buy this at Wal Mart in Mexico as it would then be an Import which would lkly be much more dinero. The $1.97 is a great price. We buy wine
to our taste not to how much it costs tho $15 a bottle would be somewhat high in the stores tho we sometimes pay more in resturants & bars. OAK
LEAF is a good everyday wine tho!

Mi esposa has corrected me. Apparently, what we would normally spend for a bottle of wine at the winery can not be relied on as in this case the
woman selling said wine wore a dress about 2 or 3 sizes too small and I would have spent anything in order to get a closer look. I suspect she's

I'm just dying to shop at WalMart.
Two buck chuck is unreliable, varies by vintage, buy one and try it, take it back if you don't like it.
For about $8 it is hard to beat Columbia Crest, Syrah, Chard and Cab.

Bibayoff zin might work in a red sauce recipe. David Bibayoff jokes that he has a new master distributor in Punta Banda.
I like it when an old thread comes out from a new author, as there may be new ideas from veterans and fresh opinions from new minds.

i have done the Cetto ZINs both at the tasting room and purchased in baja and at SD Wine Bank store - and it was good to very good each time.
i like a lot of fruit explosion in my zin but not too much sweetness.

Not a Baja wine but last night we opened a bottle of Santa Rita, Reserva
Estate Grown, Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile and it was very delicious.
We bought this at City Club in La Paz. I think it was around $120.00, next time we are there I'm definitely picking up some more. It was on the dry

If you want to try a really delicious Cab for under 10 bucks look into Penfolds of Australia. The koonga hill series went on sale here for 8 bucks.
