I thought I would let all of you know that I just had a customer (German Tourist) come in wearing a Mama Espinoza's tee shirt so, I asked him about it
& this is what he told me. He is wearing the shirt proudly, he said the food was EXCELLENT, The best lobster burritos & overall a great
place. He also said that he stayed @ Baja Cactus & he had a wonderful, spacious, clean room at a great rate. He said this was the best motel he
has stayed at in Baja & he stayed in many (This trip was for 4 weeks traveling in Baja & was not his first trip). So, there you have it.

I stopped at Mama's again last Saturday. How many times since 1971..who knows. My name is in a lot of logs. I was visiting a hunting guide amigo
for the day and had breakfast and then dinner at Mama's. The huevos rancheros were good as usual and I left nothing on the plate...plus ate almost
all the warm scrumptous tortillas. (Almost as good as lefse.) Dinner was calamar fresco and very good also. I was very satisfied with both meals.
Everything, including the kitchen, looked very clean and shipshape, so maybe some constructive criticism has taken root and grew. I hope so, because
tradition and nostalgia..coupled with a good meal... go a long ways with me.

The Baja Grande group stayed at Baja Cactus on Thursday evening. Everyone was so amazed at what they got for the price they paid. We avoided Mama
Espinoza's because of the bad reports, and instead made the 3 hr. trek to El Palomar in Santo Tomas for lunch. Everyone was happy with their food
except, Iris didn't like the smell of the crab on her plate. She was served Huevos Rancheros instead, and she was happy.
The streets of El Rosario were covered in mud - even the hillsides outside of town were covered in mud, making for a difficult drive into town there.
Carmen, the recepcionista at Baja Cactus was happy to see our group, but we missed Antonio. He arrived to the motel at 3 a.m., tired, and slept all
morning long, missing our group which had to leave at 9 a.m. At least his little daughter got a t-shirt for the Baja Grande event. Carmen got a
t-shirt for her daughter, and one of Antonio's Pemex employees next door was given one for his son as a Christmas present. These t-shirts really made
people so happy to receive. Viva Baja!!

Since we had the motorhome it made no sense to stay in motels, but as we filled with fuel, checked tires, etc I snapped a few pics of the motel...and
the station.
Here is the BajaCactus and Pemex last Saturday..Nov 22nd.
