For those of you that like Noche Buena it's that time of year again.

“The only Christmas beer in Mexico, Noche Buena is a dark beer, with a strong flavor and characteristic. True connoisseurs of beer await its release each year between October and December, when its rich qualities provide the perfect complement to the spirit of the holiday. With its emblem of the flower festival poinsettia (or Good Night), this beer inspires those who enjoy it to give the best during the holidays by delivering the best quality and flavor available in dark

12 pack in our bar fridge waiting for fellow nomads to pass through; each one gets a bottle of that bibayoff zinfandel to go with it.

Great Beer! However I have heard it won't be available in the U.S. this year. I even tried Hi-Time liquors in Costa Mesa (they can get liquor from anywhere) and they are waving the white flag on getting cases of this specialty.
Anybody have any suggestions on where to get some in southern CA?

Thanks .... Tifosi

My favorite also. It's actually a Bock, made by Cervezeria Cuahutemoc Moctezuma in Monterrey, N. L. It started as just a Christmas tradition of first and second generation German immigrant brewmasters there who made it to give to friends and family as gifts. Once on my way back from a trip to Rocky Point, I found ONE last six-pack in a store in Sonoita where they assured me I could take it into the states. When I got to the garita in San Luis, I was informed that one liter meant one liter no matter whether booze, beer or wine. The customs phuc said that meant FOUR beers and I could either return to Mexico, drink two and get back in the end of the line or pour two in the sink. I pleaded with him that it would be a sacrilege and I would rather just give two of them to him as a gift than to see such precious nectar wasted. He was unyeilding as I poured beer and tears into the sink.

In the U.S.
