Plan to stop in San Ignacio on the way down to Los Barriles
Anyone know if the accommodations in San Ignacio (Rice and Beans?) allows a [well-behaved] dog in the room (willing to do a pet deposit, if needed)

Saw them. Do they allow dogs?
How far are they off the highway? The stop is really just to get eight hours of sleep and a meal, then back on the road.

I showed the wife the website and she was interested, but more interested in just having a clean bed and getting back on the road first thing in the
morning.

Yes they take dogs...have 2 of their own.
Sign up for dinner when your reserve your room....I guarantee that you will enjoy it...and, yes, the breakies are the best. A great way to end one
day and start the next one. I will bet that you will make it a stop every year. It is a wonderful place to slow down for a day, too.

The yurts are definitely the way to go. You can ask to join them for dinner... not always available but has been so much fun the times we have been
included. You can let Terry know that you want to be on the road early and usually can do breakfast shortly after 7... that was before the time
change... They are extremely accommodating and no worry's about "clean bed". We love the yurt by the river... 650 pesos. The bathroom and showers

We wouldn't even think of staying anywhere other than Ignacio Springs B&B. Well behaved dog welcome, best dinner (request in advance), breakfast

Plan to ping them. Asked the question of the forums to see if anyone had experience with one or more places and could provide a solid Yes or No.
Didn't want to scramble to find an email for xx different places and send yy emails, if one or more forum members could provide guidance.

Yes! They allow dogs! They even offered to "dogsit" when we went whale watching. This is a very nice place to stay, and not only are the breakfasts

Another option is the Desert Inn (old La Pinta). There were two parties in the hotel with dogs when I was there last.
We stayed at Rice and Beans with our dogs, but they were not really very friendly about it, and the price was overpriced for what we got.
We now stay at Hotel Posada in town---cheap, clean, nice family but off the highway.
Also, we have been told that the other hotel on the highway, I think it is called Baja Oasis, but I do not remember, is reasonable and accepts dogs.
Met some people who were staying there. May be good for just passing through and cheaper. It is south of Rice and Beans.
