I say get rid of the mayo, mustard, hot sauce, salad dressing, hot sauce and that canning jar full of stuff! Is that red wine in the fridge?

Red wine in the fridge? OH NO, can't be.

Agree about the water---you don't need it, you have enough other liquids.

Russ,

Those are the contents of a second fridge. Or a third as the case may be. :P:biggrin:

Russ - 12-4-2008 at 02:29 PM

My first thought was to take the water out but the Noche Buena bottles are too tall to fit. Yes that is red wine and it holds a lot better during the hot humid summer. By the time you get the cork out and pour it it's just right. But ya gotta drink it all before th hits the 98º mark. I moved most of the wine to a cupboard. Also, I like red wine cool and have been caught putting a bit of ice in my glass. I guess I'll NEVER be accused of being a wine snob......
Mayo outta there, along with mustard, hot sauce and the jar of ginger. I'm sure by the end of the day there won't be a need to worry about the last two 6-paks. Thanks for all the thoughtful hints!

Russ - 12-4-2008 at 02:52 PM

Km 0 = Shell Beach. Some Awhole but in a barbed wire fence along the line that separates Pt Chavato and Shell Beach.I'm on the nice side of the fence and will share my Xmas beer.:tumble:

jorgie - 12-4-2008 at 02:59 PM

red wine in the fridge is good ....but Russ, ya gotta get a bigger fridge

vandenberg - 12-4-2008 at 03:06 PM

Being a winesnob of the 5 liter cardboard box variety, I always keep all wine refrigerated, as it will turn rapidly in our climate. That's why a second fridge is almost a must.:biggrin:

Russ - what you are doing with a cube in a 6 oz glass of red hooch is what we have always called achieving "castle temperature"
we know from reading old texts that the friars monks et al drank the goods at their "room" temperature which in the castles and fortresses of old were a chilly 62 degrees.

therefore, we like our reds at similar temps. If my casa is at 72-76 room temp and the vin has been out of the cellar (57 set point) for too long, we add a cube to get it back to mid 60s.
most of 'em don't mind a little 1" SQ block of ice. and it will breathe it faster.

Actually, I have heard that there are some very premium wines that are in boxes. I also know that some very premium wines from some other countries have screw tops.:yes:

Now, who is going to be the first person to stop by Russ's place and help him with his problem??

jorgie, These fridges are small but so is my casita/kitchen. So in the garage, behind the window & unchilled wine is a garage/shop with the second fridge and Noche Buena. It's small but it's home. One really good thing. With my really bad memory I don't often get lost in my castle.

Worked on a solution last night. Is it really cloudy this morning or is it me? Have two more boxes on order though.

Bought some noche buena here in San Felipe today. It is really good and bottles are shorter than the Tecate so fit better in our refrigerator. as far as the problem with the pictured refrigerator can only say have a few friends over then you will have plenty of space.
