Fantastic shot! Like you signature too.
Edit: Beautiful here to but would have been a lot better without all the shrimpers parked in front of my view.

"What better way to start the day than to be humbled by nature and her maker. The camera is servant to the eye which does the bidding of the soul."
Thank you, Roger. Thanks to you, I'm gonna have a really good day.DianaT - 12-11-2008 at 10:04 AM

Pat,
That is one BEAUTIFUL picture of that poor tree all covered with that white stuff.
However, while I do love that picture, I think I will stick to trying to take pictures like Pompano this time of year.
Still love the colors in that sunrise!

my preference is for the crack of Dawn.....
Ken Bondy - 12-11-2008 at 07:13 PM
EMAM that is a striking image. Just beautiful. I would rather be looking at Roger's sunrise (in person) but both of your photos are artistically
perfect. Bien hecho!EMAM - 12-11-2008 at 08:11 PM
Thanks guys, it sure wasnt fun to take as I was hiking in about 10" of fresh power right after dawn.
But I agree, I was happy with the results. I too would much rather be sharing Roger's Sunrise with himSallysouth - 12-11-2008 at 08:52 PM
Beautiful pics all! The contrast between the Baja sunrise and the snow covered tree is a story in itself.(yeah, and sweet wave Woody!)EMAM - 12-11-2008 at 09:20 PM
Since we're all posting pictures, this is actually my favorite from the mornings hike!

Snow is predicted here this weekend and I would so much rather be in Baja. The sunrise is breathtaking. Thanks for the reminder of just how
beautiful it is. Enjoy.DENNIS - 12-11-2008 at 09:58 PM

Where did the sunrise go???? Removed???

Pompano, those big bulls must have been dueling for anyone to get that close. That is a great picture.
In the previous picture my lab Abby has just been chased up on the deck by the herd and wants in now!Pompano - 12-13-2008 at 02:56 PM
Lancardriver...yes, these bulls were sparring and became locked together, as happens from time to time. These guys were lucky, though, a game warden
injected one with a heavy dose of tranquilizer, and the other with a light dose. Then sawed one antler loose and both were free....the light dosed
one running off a hundred yards and then laying down to rest. Both came out okay...Good job, warden.
Quoted, 'If these two bulls had not been discovered, and we had never gotten the call, they more than likely would have both died. Watching the bulls
walk away, and knowing that we likely saved them from a slow death was definitely one of those moments that makes this job rewarding.'
