Hmmm...
Licking his lips in the first shot - cottonmouth for sure !
And that far-away gaze in the second shot - a definite toker !
Did he ever tour with the Dead ??

I think he bears a resemblance to Snoop Doggy Dogg.....

There's something about those eyes!!

Paulina - 12-13-2008 at 06:21 PM

That dog knows more than he's telling. Snoop Dog, I agree.

Actually our dogs keep getting attacked by ferocious little breeds just like that!! I'm serious, it sends them running!

We had our litter of 11 black lab pups saturday night! She had seven pups in the first hour (9pm), took a break and had two more at 11pm. We got her and the pups all cleaned up and though she was done- then two more at 1am! She has more pups than teats- so we are busy doing the musicals chairs thing. All are healthy are weighed between 7 and 11 ounces.

From what I understand, labs can have litters of yellow, black and chocolate labs all in one litter.

Woooosh - 12-16-2008 at 12:43 PM

A white and Black lab can only have a mix of white and black puppies. You need either the sire or the dam to be chocloate to get some chocolate puppies. I used to think a white and black could have chocolates- but I'm told by breeders that's not the case.

We got 11 black this time. Maybe the white males young age kept him from being genetically dominant this time. We will let them try again for some white ones and then they're off to the Bob Barker Price is Right Spay and Neuter Clinic.

BajaGringo - 12-16-2008 at 12:48 PM

Congrats Woooosh. I love labs and this is our Dakota...

funny story. I had a practice in marin couny, just outside of san francisco. i was on emergency and was seeing a dog that may have swallowed a metal object....while im talking to the owner, i say, "hey, you kinda look famiiliar".....to which the girlfriend says, "hes in a band". im thinking, oh great, not gonna get paid. so then i say "which band"? now mind you, ive been in school a loooong time. and im a surfer type and never smoked much... so she says with an air of importance...."hes with the dead". i say, "oh, you mean the skeleton, vw van thing?" Then he, Steve Weir, thinks this is great.....i have no freakin idea who he is......and he loves that. i apologize....telling him im into jazz and not really heard his music but being from the bay area, ive heard of the band. So again, he loves this, and so i wind up becoming the bands veterinarian.....loved their dogs thats for sure....
anyway thats my rasta dog story....
