Amazing sunrise. Wow. Thanks, we are hard in the arms of winter here in Portland Oregon. 20 degrees and everything frozen hard as a rock. Feeling a little jealous, no, make that a lot jealous.

Russ your sunrises keep getting better and better. This one is really spectacular with the subtle blues and pastels. Please keep them coming. Today in LA I am looking at solid grey overcast with heavy rain. I vote for your sunrise :)

I use to love those really cold days on the Hood Canal when the wind wasn't blowing. The sunsets where a lot like my photo above but with the Olympics in the back ground.

DENNIS - 12-15-2008 at 08:07 AM

Yeah..Boy. That's really hard to take. Thanks, Russ.

And at the end of the day, sunset on Thanksgiving day at Caleta El Cardonel, Isla Partida. Air temperature 82, water temperature 79.

Nice one, Russ. Keep them coming. We're all enjoying the light show.

Ha! I hear them calling to me Igor :) Even the little fish are beckoning. Here's a tidepool sculpin I found last week:

As always your photos are SPECTACULAR!!!

The colors on those eyes are amazing. Especially on this Dell monitor at work. The screen makes a big difference in viewing pleasure (as they say in the film biz).

I was concerned that you had stopped diving, Ken. But now it looks like you've backed off on showing your non-baja images. :(

Aren't those eyes beautiful? These little sculpins are magnificent creatures. No, I haven't stopped diving, Igor. I get to Morro Bay at least once a month. But I admit I always feel a little uncomfortable about posting non-Baja images here, so I have in fact backed off a little. I will still put them up when they are really interesting or unusual. This little guy qualifies, I think, particularly with the nice red bryozoan background.

Bryozoans

Thanks Russ for your nice comment and the bryozoan reference. ++Ken++
