I've just finished planning my spring trip. I have not been to Baja for three years. I have not camped below San Lucas Cove for three years before
that and not to La Ventana in five years.
May 3rd south to approx Cantavina, overnight in R. Santa Inez or BOLA (is R. Santa Inez still going)
May 4th the above to San Lucas Cove
May 4th - 9th SLC (camping)
May 9th - 13th Mulege (camp los naranjos) - has anyone stayed here? all opinions welcome
May 13th - Mulege to La Ventana
May 13th - June 5th La Ventana (camping)
June 5th - June 6th Mulege (hotel serenidad overnight/pig roast)
June 6th - Fly w/friends to San Carlos, Sonora - hotel fiesta and full moon party/pig roast @ the soggy peso
June 6th - June 10th San Carlos, Sonora
June 10th - Fly San Carlos to Mulege (drive north camp at SLC)
June 10th - June 13th San Lucas Cove (camping)
June 13th - SLC to El Rosario
June 14th El Rosario to San Diego
I'll be towing my boat and fishing everywhere I camp
All suggestions and info on theses places greatly appreciated as I have not been to Baja in a number of years
tnx in advance

Rancho Santa Inez is still going. Oscar and Mathilda are still there.

Sure seems doable.
One thing, though. Have you checked the tide charts to see if you have positive tides EDIT: AT SLC in the mornings of the days you will be there? It
does make things much easier. But you know better than I; maybe you can launch at any tide there.
Tell us about this flying angle you've got worked up. WHAT, YOU'RE NOT BOATING OVER IN MOOSEA I???? Just kidding, of course. Is your buddy aware that
the SC airport is open during daylight hours? I have a friend who flys down regularly from Coorslorado. 123.45. Or, will you land in Guaymas?
I stayed at Naranjos for a couple days one Turkey Day. About 6 years ago, or so. Stuffed a chicken and cooked it in the tiny oven in the Lance. Rented
one of the structures even though I had the cabover camper with me. Didn't use the structure, but the area where open camping on the water was allowed
was too close to the showers and the restaurant/store/oficina for our liking. It was also where the day use people came to park with their rather loud
norteno music (which I love, at manageable volumes!).The structures were inexpensive. Fished the points from shore with Krocs and Kasts for mucho
corvina on the incoming tide. Quite fun on light tackle. Even ate a couple as they are tasty to us.
Where do you plan staying in SC? At the Hotel Fiesta? We think their restaurant may be the most consistent in SC and they definitely have the best
margaritas in town. Dont know about the rooms, except they remodeled them about two years ago.
The Full Moon party at the Peso may not be a pig. She is varying the theme from month to month. December was Mexican, November was Mediterranean.
A black man is elected President and now Acudoc returns to Baja............"The times, they are a-changin' "!
I guess you better start hanging out on the Nomads Political and Off-Topic boards now.
