I have gotten a bad flat that has been repaired with a warning as to the strength of the repair (extends into the sidewall) ... a new tire quote here
in Todos Santos makes me want to find a good used tire .... any ideas in the La Paz area would be appreciated ...
It is a 32x1150 R15LT
I am also having difficulty finding a replacement size ..

Unlike the US I can't imagine a used tire in La Paz being of any value to you. I would keep working with the one you have and look for a
replacemement, though honestly you can find or order anything in la paz. I can't think of anyone in particular who can help with used tirs, so I would
try tire shops and keep asking.
Perhaps if price is an issue another size would work? As it seems 31 1150/15or 33 1150/15 is common too?

Your best bet is to try the wrecking yards.Lots of tires good and bad, getting the right size is the problem.

fyi.....if you can help it, never ever use different size tires. all should be same size, its damaging to the tranny

The junk yards have a network and knowledge of their cars etc... racing mechanics might help, you need someone to call for you to get the word out on
your requirement. It might help to suggest a typical car with rims and tires like your yours? Tundra, CJ, Bronco, or simply go there, as you come into
to La Paz from TS take a right at the Soriana on Colosio and head out toward San Juan de Los Plannes there you will arrive in the city of junk.
Of course buying a used tire requires you to find one, buy one, remove from its rim, install on yours, going there is risky for your tire since its
rocky and broken glass etc... in junk yards. Also being about 50 miles from TS it almost seems not worth it compared to ordering a perfect match from
a shop in cabo or la paz. Seems like ordering one from the nearest reputable shop is your best, cheapest bet. It will take time to arrive.
A new tire is about $150 installed
Then again you don't have a problem yet! If it busts open again you can have it fixed again too until you get your correct tire.
