I've never got FMTs at Tecate - I've done a search but can't seem to find the answer: is it similar to TJ where you park in Mexico, go to Migracion,
walk to the bank? We'll be crossing sometime on the 1st (Friday) or the 2nd. Driving pickup only.David K - 12-24-2008 at 09:58 AM
The bank across the street from the INM office is not open as long as the border there is... only regular bank hours (so I've read)...Diver - 12-24-2008 at 10:06 AM
It is similar but much smaller/easier.
There is on-street parking and a few small lots within a few blocks of the border.
You walk down and cross the border on the right-hand side of the street, continuing 1/2 block into Mexico to the immigration office - up the
stairs/ramp on the right.
The bank is directly accross the street to pay and then return to immigration for your stamp.
You must return to your car on the opposite side of the street (same side as the bank) and the route takes you zig-zag through a building on the US
side then back to the road you walked in on.Santiago - 12-24-2008 at 12:52 PM

I presume that if I cross on the 1st the bank will be closed. The 2nd being Saturday, they will be closed also? Looks like San Yisidro this time.David K - 12-24-2008 at 02:45 PM
If you are a member of Discover Baja... just get the pre-paid card there... and have INM stamp it at Calexico!
