automatic transmission repair shop

Anybody know a good tranny repair shop Ensenada/North Baja?

My 1995 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 transmission needs to be rebuilt. It does not have a Reverse gear anymore. Its in San Diego where repair quotes are upwards of $3000 USD.

It either goes South or it goes south, i.e. to the bone yard.

Thanks, Nomads!

i got mine replaced in PHX for $1700. 1987 auto matic.
ask around.
best bet find a good tranny shop in a mexican city.
has to be one in Ensenada or TJ that does Pathfinders.
also there are bunch of small auto repair shops all over Chula Vista and National city.
good luck, been there.

Any chance you know the name of his shop in SF or how I can find him? Thanks.

Again, anyone know a shop in North Baja? We're really hoping to keep this car. Its just too nice a Baja Rig to throw away.

Last I heard, San Felipe is in North Baja.

The name ? Probably Jose Luis Casanova Transmissions? On San Felipe street about 8 blocks north of Mar de Caribe Norte.
