Understanding Baja

I have mastered the understanding of being in Baja. Everything isn't on a specific time frame and you do what you want as it comes through the brain waves. Depending on the time that you're visiting, its really easy to forget what day of the week it is and many people wear watches; but don't care to look at the time. I've been here since the 22nd and since then, my mind frame has changed. I'm a student and a city girl (but that is another post all together) and am always doing something; dealing with rush hour traffic, going to and from school and doing endless hours of homework. I was very weary about coming to Baja since it wasn't a traditional vacation for me BUT since being here my opinion has changed. I feel very relaxed and do things on the fly. Going back to Canada will be very different yet relieving at the same time.

Yes, this is my first time being here and I hope to come back when I'm able too. I won't be able to come for as lengthy of a time as my trip now but I will be looking forward to coming back.

I've driven to Toronto via Sarnia & Detroit, and yes, Ontario is way different than Baja. The problem - Mariscos are better in Baja, but Indian food is better in Ontario! :bounce:

Isn't it weird how international food is always better in a country that its not native too?
Toronto is a good city as well, very busy all the time.

You are a nice relative for introducing Edder to Baja. I'm sure she is having a blast at your place in Asuncion. I wanted to visit w/Baja Grande, but we were pushing it as it is with our sidetrip to San Francisquito. I once had some work up in Toronto in late October, and it was SO COLD there. I can only imagine what it is like in early January. BRRR! But, in late May through late August, Toronto is a great place to be. I love that towns International feel and energy.

Yes, but as Mike Myers said, nobody ever goes out for Canadian food. ;D

That's funny. :lol: In Windsor, there is this restaurant named, "Bubbies" which specialized in Garlic-flavored foods. It was excellent. There was a couple of excellent Indian restauraunts, mainly, "The Curry House."

Mexican's have a sort of freedom that is rare in the north and you have captured the essence of it, go with the flow, the land of mannana.

When in Baja have absolutely no idea what day of the week it is.....and that is good and I don't care. Wall calendars don't help. I have to look at my laptop calendar to see what day it is.

Yes, in the beginning it is unnerving to have no real responsibilites and no schedule while in Baja. It just feels sinful! Getting back to what you are used to is comforting. However, the longer you stay in Baja, the "real" world matters less and less. Now, when I'm back in the States, I feel jumpy and my posts become more agressive. I have become very contented in Baja as a full time resident. Sinning never felt so good!
