Road conditions to San Borja both directions

-- I was on it 2 days ago -- it is in good condition and passable by car, although there are a few big puddles you need to watch out for and go around. According to the mission caretaker the road to LA Bay is in good condition--we didn't go that way. We just came back from a mission and Camino Real trip traveling from San Juanico to San Miguel and on to Mission Guadalupe and out to the highway through San Jose de Magdelena. Then the Camino Real north of San Ignacio and visiting the missions at Santa Gertrudis and San Fco. Borjas. All the roads were in good shape.

We went back to Highway 1 and then north to Rosarito and in through there. After you get through Rosarito it is well marked.

We travled the road from L.A. Bay to San Borja and back two weeks ago. Great shape, a few puddles. Have one of the kids at San Borja take you to Arroyo Grande to see the paintings, it's not far and worth the side trip. You will get some "Baja pinstripes" though.

Jose, that photo of the road out to Rosarito from San Borja (in you picture above) is not the one I drove a few years ago... the main one is a wide, graded road... very smooth and fast... 21 miles.

That looks more like the road to Santa Ana, perhaps?
