Veterinarian in Ensenada

DianaT - 1-4-2009 at 12:56 PM

I did a search and could not find the information. A few people have talked about a Veterinarian in Ensenada who is excellent, especially with surgery.

A good friend of ours here in Asuncion has a young dog with a bad leg. She was hit by a car.

He is headed up to Ensenada for business and wants to see a Vet there. We told him we would find out who some people recommend.

Thanks

John and Diane

I wish I could be exact, but I'm in the states right now, but the guy you are looking for his name is Dr: PENA, I believe he is around 9th and Gastelum, if you get in the area you can ask, he is very well known for surgery on Dogs, and what else I really don't know? I have not used him, but I have heard a lot of good things and I believe that is what your looking for.
Good luck.

Its your lucky day!

I met yesterday with the Vet you are looking for. A friend who has taken care of our 3 Newfs over the last 10years.

Dr.Antonio F. Pena Jasso

He has just completed his new web site, but it is in Spanish and we are working on the translation to English. Antonio is bilingual as is some of the staff. To say he is a good vet would be understatement. Before retiring to Baja our vets were stateside and cannot compare to his clinic.

Should you have any questions his email is anpeja@hotmail.com

Should you need any questions answered U2U and I can tell you of some of his work 1st hand.

A little help with Google translation

Dr. Pena completed his studies at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM), is a graduate of the School of Higher Studies Cuautitlán graduated in 1992 and since then has been devoted to the clinic for dogs and cats. He has participated in several forums of veterinary giving lectures, courses and publications primarily in the area of soft tissue surgery and orthopedics. He is currently the president of the College of Veterinary Medical Small Species of Ensenada and Medical Director of the Veterinary Hospital.

"Dr. Antonio" has done quite a few surgeries on our dogs over the years. I second and third all of the above posts, he's the only vet I would ever use again. I used to drive all the way from L.A. to take my English Mastiff to him.

Antonio is de man. He fixed up our beagle perfectly (leg surgery) and handles our routine pet care as well for all the others. He's fab. He and his asst vet, Barbara, both speak English if that's an issue.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

I will pass this information on to our friend. Since he is Mexican, speaking English is not important, but if we ever need a good vet, speaking English is VERY helpful for us.

I will also keep it for us if we ever need it. This time I won't lose it.

Again, Thank you for the prompt answers.

Diane
