British Passport, USA Green Card - entry to Baja?

ibannie - 1-11-2009 at 05:35 PM

Hi everyone

I have a question about papers needed to get into Baja. I have a current British Passport and am a Permanent Resident, Green Card holder, of the USA.

Do I need to bring any extra papers, apply for any other visa's or permissions to get in? I have looked and cannot find anything, but maybe one of you know something I cannot find. Going into Canada, I only needed my Passport and Green Card to get out and back in again.

I would appreciate any input about this - boy I would hate to get all the way there only to be turned around for lack of a piece of paper!

Thanks
Annie

It's Free so I guess it's worth what it costs.

One of my closest friends is a German National who has been a permanent resident of the United States since 1978. Back before he also became a Naturalized U.S. Citizen too, he travelled to Baja dozens of times on his existing documents without problem. One of his favorite vacation spots. Dittos for his Filipina spouse who STILL does.

While I don't know the exact wording of the rules, I'm sure that he does. After all, he's GERMAN. I'll ask.

Oh great! Thanks MrBillM and estebanis for the info and the link to the Know Before You Go pamphlet - that pretty much explains it all.
Now we really are ready to roll :)
