OMG, the Federales outdo themselves

oxxo - 1-15-2009 at 04:06 PM

:lol::lol:Today, Thursday, January 15, the Federales have erected a painted plywood cutout of a Federale cruiser on the 4 lane halfway between San Jose and San Lucas.:lol::lol: Everyone will be happy to know that traffic is proceeding as normal....at 120-140 kph (even the cement mixer!) right passed the durn thing. Mexican tax dollars at work!:lol::lol:

BajaGringo - 1-15-2009 at 04:08 PM

Was the federale inside eating donuts???

Bajahowodd - 1-15-2009 at 04:23 PM

Someone will eventually paint over it and write disponible.

BajaGringo - 1-15-2009 at 04:25 PM

Or for sale to the highest bidder!!!

DianaT - 1-15-2009 at 05:16 PM

Pictures, Pictures,

This worked quite well near a school in Fredonia, Arizonia near the Grand Canyon.

Would love to see picture of the plywood one.

Paulina - 1-15-2009 at 09:05 PM

oxxo,

Maybe they thought the cut out military personel that are propped up just before the checkpoints were doing such a great job at deterring drug traffic that they would give it a shot at speeding vehicles as well?

:lol::lol::lol:

Have you noticed that many of those cut-out military personel that used to have faces and uniforms are now just covered with yellow. Maybe that is their rain gear for wintertime.

Paulina - 1-15-2009 at 09:37 PM

I did notice the yellow. I was thinking that it could be an undercover uniform so they won't be recognized by the cartel, or rain gear.

oK oxxo, does your cut-out car have any of these undercover agents?

Dang! My digital camera is broken. Bajajudy, can you drive over here and take a picture, pretty please? It's just past the entrance to the Cabo Real golf course. Plenty of room to pull off the side of the road and talk to the nice plywood officer. I had a nice chat with him yesterday until he tried to write me up for illegal parking and said he would tear up the ticket for $100 plywood dollars!

Is that a honey-dipped from Dunkin' Donuts? OMG. I now buy the Dunkin' Donuts coffee at CostCO- almost like a winter back in New England without the cold , ice salt-slush and snow shoveling. LOL

Paulina - 1-16-2009 at 02:26 PM

Looks like a Crispy Cream to me.

DENNIS - 1-16-2009 at 04:21 PM

Don't know what butt, there's something anal about it.

DianaT - 1-16-2009 at 04:46 PM

It is a Winchells Cinnamon Glazed donut!---no doubt about it.

Nope- there is a Dunkin Donuts shop near there, Not a Krispy Kreme store in sight. Sadly- I checked...c:o:o

Besides- No one with a hot glazed Krispy Kreme in hand ever makes it out of the parking lot with it.

Jdtrotter... enjoyed your pictures.:):):)

oxxo - 1-20-2009 at 02:52 PM

WOW!

The plywood cruiser is still there, but today a real Federale cruiser is hiding behind it! He has been pulling people over right and left. Traffic has slowed Waaaaaaaay down. You hear the trucks hitting their jake breaks as they approach. Maybe this will do some good in the short term.

oxxo - 1-24-2009 at 07:48 AM

Plywood cruiser was unceremoniously loaded onto a flatbed trailer today and hauled off. I feel empty with him gone. But I feel encouraged that he will live again to fight another day at a new location.

Farewell plywood Federale cruiser. Vaya con dios. God bless you.

DENNIS - 1-24-2009 at 08:00 AM

I think the rule is, when the plywood cop car has twenty bullet holes in it, they move it to another location.

Like a lonely stop sign out in the plains of Kansas but with bigger bullet holes, not buckshot

oxxo - 1-24-2009 at 02:21 PM

Yeahhhhhhh! Plywood Federale cruiser is back! I went to town today for some of Mercedes homemade tamales. I noted that plywood cruiser now stands proud and erect along the eastbound lanes in front of Casa del Mar Resort.

All is right in the world. Go getum plywood Federale.

ckiefer - 1-25-2009 at 09:17 PM

Here it is. Your tax dollars hard at work!

DianaT - 1-25-2009 at 09:21 PM

At last, a picture! That is great.

Now, the real question is, as always, I think I see an officer in that car and is he/she eating a donut and if so, who made that donut?

ckiefer - 1-25-2009 at 09:25 PM

As you can see, it's just a decoy!

Looks like...

Mexray - 1-26-2009 at 12:44 AM

...just enough room for a 'bike' cop to hide in the middle (while eating his 'Dunkin Donas', of course)....:o

oxxo - 1-26-2009 at 07:09 AM

Yeaaaaaaa! That's the guy! Let's see how long it takes for someone to tag plywood Federale cruiser.

Paulina - 1-26-2009 at 08:17 AM

Wow, What a paint job! Obviously not the same craftsman who makes the soldiers at the checkpoints!

ckiefer - 1-27-2009 at 05:02 PM

I passed by there again today.....He's still there. Maybe next time I'll drop some tecate cans around the car and post another picture!

oxxo - 1-27-2009 at 07:00 PM

He's still there tonight. The Mexican plated car in front of me tossed something out the window at him. I think it was a half eaten taco! Saludos plywood Federal cruiser.

ckiefer - 1-27-2009 at 07:30 PM

I think they would much prefer tacos over donuts!

I stepped on the brake for it.

Mika - 1-28-2009 at 11:54 AM

I was there just after they put up the sign. It was almost dark and I was sure it was real. We actually turned around and checked it out after realizing it was a plywood sign. : )
Now I am regretting that I didn't take a picture of it.
