Dog Friendly in Santa Rosalia

DianaT - 1-23-2009 at 09:14 PM

Does anyone know which hotels in Santa Rosalia are dog friendly?

Udo - 1-24-2009 at 02:04 PM

I have stayed at the Las Rocas several times in the past, and have always seen seen dogs on leashes on the grounds.

might talk to Bob ans Susan. They're friends. Maybe she isn't in business anymore. I do think she was closed during the summer and goes to the states but I'm not sure if that was a one time thing or not. It's been awhile since we've been there.k PS El Moro is okay too right above Las Casitas,k

Diane-- On another current thread, "Several Questions", Nomad Osoflojo stated that they stayed at the El Morro this month and it was quite good- renovated rooms, good retauarant. Just mention it not knowing your price point for accomodations. El Morro is considerably less expensive than Las Casitas.

Thanks---I saw that other thread and decided to not muddy the water there with the dog issue. I appreciate the tip.

Almost always difficult for us to make a reservation anywhere until we are on the road. We need to go to Santa Rosalia for some business, but don't know when.

While we have our favorite restaurant in Santa Rosalia where we have eaten a number of times, we have only stayed there once. We were traveling by bus so no doggies.

And your favorite restaurant is???

Reminds me about the El Morro restaurant. We were there perhaps three years ago and they only served a buffet. Not very appealing to the eye. On top of that, there were only three people eating. One of which was a fellow, a veteran, who appeared to be living in his van around Mulege, who drove up to El Morro, just for the buffet. We ate in town.

Tercos Pollito---on the right hand side right as you enter the town off the highway.

I don't care much for squid, but they have a really great squid did they servie with their chips----never had a bad meal there. It is not the cheapest, but there are always a lot of locals eating there which is something we look for.
