Highway 5 is not the place to be driving at night. There aren't any banditos, but the problem is the commuters, Mexicali to San Felipe, or vice
versa not having headlights or taillights. I did it once, and believe me once was enough to cure me of night driving in Mexico.CortezBlue - 1-27-2009 at 09:27 AM
Yes, I am very familiar with 5 at night. I have done it many times but I don't mind it as much with some company to help keep an eye on what is
coming.
Also, I think that the bigger problem that I have had are the double long semi trucks with an extra wide load of hay. I need a white cane to make
sure that I am still on the road and not on the shoulder that isnt there.meme - 1-27-2009 at 10:09 AM

Yes definately! It comes up on you real quick so when you start to see side road grading and equipment, start slowing, the turnoff the road is abrupt.
We came through there last week, south bound at night, north bound during the day... They sure are making great progress!
