Starting today, Jan 29, the Turtle Conference will be in Loreto at the auditorium.
Stop in and say HI to Jim. He has a good selection of books with him.gringorio - 1-30-2009 at 10:35 PM
Thanks for the reminder Judy... Is the conference about selling books or sea turtle conservation? Nomads can support sea turtles in Baja and
elsewhere by not eating shrimp and not driving on the beaches. In the long run this also supports local economies and the local ecology… Vs. the
short-term gastrointestinal desires of tourists and expats ...

Not sure where you are coming from with this statement but we have supported this conference for over 5 years through company sponsorships and donate
a portion of our profits to Grupo every year.
This year more than ever they need outside support as they see their donations decrease as the economy shrinks.
So please stop by the auditorium whether you say HI to Jim or not.David K - 1-31-2009 at 08:10 AM
If there is a map of verified turtle nesting sites, I believe most here would be most interested in seeing it ... and knowing when the eggs are in the
sand. I have only heard about the beaches near Todos Santos and Cabo... surley there are more?ELINVESTIG8R - 1-31-2009 at 08:58 AM
