Beautiful photos as always, but you lost all of your 2008 photos? That is AWFUL :no:

Russ,

Such a shame to lose all your 2008 photos. Why not join one of the online photo sharing sites to store your pics? Flicker, PBase, Smugmug (who I use) and others. Some are free others low annual cost.

Keep them coming.

Ken, I'm on photobucket but I shrink most photos before I upload them and I don't put all there. I lost over 2,000 photos. I bought a back up hard drive and I thought I had everything backed up before I installed the new operating system. NOT!

My "edit" button is gone:?: I posted the wrong Sat image. Here's this mornings:
edit: found it. My original post is too big, sorry, and my window too small to see it.

Ken, can you store your pictures at full size on Smugmug and does it upload rather quickly?

Like Russ, I downsize photos before I put them on Photobucket and once downsized, that is it. A couple of times I forgot to downsize and the upload was really slow.

Russ,
Would one of those data recovery programs work?

Diane, I erased the entire hard drive and I'm not geek enough to know how to get that deep into my computer. But I'm trying:O

whew...after I saw the first sat post, I looked on all my weather sites and it just didnt look that bad...so OK, we can go to the beach this afternoon as planned...summer is still on..speaking of which, have you been experiencing unseasonably hot weather over there? I just cannot get over how incredibly hot and calm it has been.

Just love our trips to the beach and your sunrise pics. Thanks for posting these, they seem to just get better and better.

Thanks all. Shari.... Shut up! We've had what I'd say is a normal winter. Mostly cool in the mornings with light breeze then the wind picks up from around 10am to 5pm. But some times, too often for me, the wind will blow for days without let up.You find a buyer for my empty lot and I'm moving to your neck of the "woods".
Edit: Oh, maybe some one else could help me sell this lot..Not very high quality and a bit long but my first attempt at this kind of thing. Now all those photos are gone.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3Rf_LWiKps
Shameless aren't I;)

I had that happen once on my laptop. It took all my 1970's DOS programming skills to find, rename and then move them all by cable to a good PC. Those were beautiful photos you posted- sorry about last years.
