I'll be in Baja, around Conception Bay, in March, and am hoping that my wife can take a bus down and join me for several weeks. I imagine she'd need
a bus to Mulege, and might leave from Loreto or La Paz.
Sounds easy. But when I got Transportes ABC and El Aguila on the web, the "buy your ticket" webpage for both (they're the same company) indicated NO
buses to these points were scheduled.
What's up? A webpage problem, or have the companies developed problems? Anybody know of other companies running buses to these places?

C'mon now;
The bus is a real experience. Yes, you can be sheltered in your aire conditioning in your can and never speak a word of spanish. Mexican buses are
very comfortable (and have AC too!).
Hemingway said that rich people live the same around the world but to really get a taste of the culture you must take the public transportation.

Do you have to buy a ticket for each chicken?
Maybe Wayne's wife is the hardy sort, but I'm just saying that I wouldn't have my wife travel on a bus from the border to Loreto.

The bus can be a great experience---have ridden lots of them all over the Mainland and Baja---some were the fancy ones, and some were the second and
third class ones. Always an experience.
If I was traveling alone down Baja, my first choice would be the bus. The fancy ones are very comfortable---take a blanket, however, as they can be
cold. Practically froze on one bus from Hermisillo to Tijuana when it was 100 degress outside.
If you think you wife would have a problem getting to the bus station in Tijuana, talk to FDT about that.

If the driver does get off the bus for a food stop, keep a very close eye on the driver. He may tell you the stop will be for 45 minutes, but if he

I'll check rates for the plane flights, but my wife will probably prefer the bus. She speaks very good Spanish, and is very comfortable about

Careful, your lack of culture is showing. The bus is a great experience and is a very acceptable way to travel in Baja. I live next door to the head
of the childrens orthopedic hospital in Tijuana and even though he owns a new 528 BMW, he takes the bus semimonthly from Santa Rosalia to Tijuana and
his wife and daughter go perhaps more frequently. The point I am making is that your American Culture predisposition is showing though your obvious
lack of sensitivity which can only mean you have never ridden the bus in Baja and are making assumptions that are invaliid.
