Loreto RV Park ~ Long Term ?

djh - 2-14-2009 at 10:23 PM

We have a wonderful large (fenced & gated) lot in the heart of the centro historico district of Loreto. A block to the malecon, a block to the town square, yet a very private & quiet spot. Trees, bouganvilla, palms, etc... it is a very sweet spot ~ some of you know it!

We will build a project there in a couple of years...

As an interim step, we're considering installing some improvements to use our lot for long term rental for 4 RV's. (One ~ mine, and 3 to rent). Our property was used for this purpose years ago, and the sewer, water, and elect. services will be updated, along with some additional landscaping and some paver stone type "pads / patios, and a bathroom / shower facility & BBQ area, etc.

So.... before I get ahead of myself... I wanted to ask fellow Nomads:

Do you think there is enough demand for this type of secure long-term RV parking? :?:

What are some suggestions you might offer in early "visioning" & planning.... I have an RV, but I've RARELY used RV parks, so I welcome input from those of you who've done this more! :light:

BTW, I DID form a corp. so that I could conduct business, obtain my FM3 Lucrativa, AND use my property (held by the corp) for this (and eventually a home w/ several rental units..... ;)

And.... if anyone is looking for a place like this for their RV, maybe U2U me...?

Thanks!

Make sure that whoever you put in there, you're able to get them out when you want to. Sometimes not so easy in Mexico. For instance....you put a pregnant Mexican lady in there and she's there for life. [almost]

Since any Female, either 2 or 4 legged is PG 98% of the time I would think that would cut the customer base considerably.

My buddy is from North Carolina and he would say, "You bigged her?"
Nope. Not this time.

There are some good RV parks in Loreto. I would suggest that you visit them and see what they offer and discuss with them how often they deal with long term requests that they cannot respond to.

Nomads are a good source of clients for you.
