Road conditions from Ganzaga Bay south

Does anybody know FOR CERTAIN, what the condition of the road is south of Ganzaga Bay? Paved?

GONZAGA BAY:

YES... If a month ago or so is soon enough (Jan. 1, 2009).

See the Baja Trip Reports forum for details.

The short answer is the road was recently graded between Gonzaga and Hwy. 1 and is as good as it gets, fixed not long before we drove it last.

No pavement, never... well maybe never... in our lifetime!

Crews are working ultra slow south from Puertecitos, about 4 miles paved... the rest is muy malo to Gonzaga.

She asked for the road south of Gonzaga.

It's in better shape than the road north to Puertecitos. A good, mostly level, graded road that should take about an hour and a half to reach the paved highway. Stop at Coco's and have a cool one. It's beautiful country, predominantly ocotillo and adams trees as I recall.

I know... this is what I typed: "The short answer is the road was recently graded between Gonzaga and Hwy. 1 and is as good as it gets, fixed not long before we drove it last. "

Just to cover a possible follow-up question ('How about the road from the north?') I mentioned it, too.
