I've crossed at Mexicali before but it has been a long time ago and I didn't need to stop for an FMT. I'd like to stop and get my FM3 stamped this
time but I'm not sure where the Migration office is. Where is it and where is a good place to park?
Thanks.....dttunaeater - 2-18-2009 at 07:48 PM
As soon as you see the red/green lights for the line they are to the left. I have actually parked before crossing the lights and walked to the office.
Very simple and not crowded. This is for the Calexico crossing.larry - 2-18-2009 at 08:00 PM

The office is to the left, but the parking is to the right immediately after crossing the border. If you don't make sure to stay to the right, you
will not be able to get over and it can be very difficult to find parking on the city streets around there. After parking to the right, you have to
walk across all the traffic lanes (there is a marked cross walk) to get to the Migracion office.
I am talking about the main Calexico/Mexicali crossing.bajalou - 2-18-2009 at 09:10 PM
East crossing is easier, just pull in the Declare lane and tell them you want immigration, park around the corner and it's on the right.Bwana_John - 2-19-2009 at 07:52 AM

Not on a saturday or sunday.
On those days you have to wait with the people who are importing cars to pay at the bank, which only has one teller. It took us 2.5 hours on a
saturday (during X-mas) just to get our tourist card done.
It never took more than 20 minutes at the Main Mexicali X-ingBajafun777 - 2-21-2009 at 12:50 AM
East Port is the best, however if the cars are being brought in on the day you are trying to use East Port you will know before you get to where you
can not turn around before entering to go instead over to old port in Calexico. These cars will be lined up all the way to light where the stores are
on the American side before you cross. Just turn around and go back to old port in downtown Calexico. Later------------------ bajafun777
