No personal or company name provided.
Sounds like a crook masquerading as a security specialist, trolling nomads for a sucker.
Nigerian scammers are more creative

DENNIS - 2-19-2009 at 11:36 AM

He's undercover.

Bajahowodd - 2-19-2009 at 11:44 AM

Deep cover.

ckiefer - 2-19-2009 at 06:03 PM

Transportation specialist? Into and out of Mexico? Is that under or over the fence? Law enforcement experience, where? Sorry with only two posts to your credit, you have to expect will hop on this one!

Desperado Security

To those who find some sort of sport in taking pot shots at people they don't even know, this is submitted to refute those ugly, unkind and unfair comments re. Desperado Security posted by 1bajaray. I have known this man for seven years. I've known him to be NOTHING LESS THAN HONORABLE. He's worked for me and done very FINE work. I've seen work he's done for others and have NEVER heard one complaint about him. He has experience working for the California Department of Corrections as well as experience as a Bonds Enforcement Agent. His ad does not ask to get into your home or to see where you keep your valuables. He offers a valuable service and if the naysayers have been keeping up with events in the East Cape, they know that crimes against personal property are on the increase and I say, likely to continue to escalate as long as the economy is in the toilet. DO NOT CAST ASPERSIONS UPON A PERSON OF WHOM YOU HAVE NO PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE. Unfair, unkind and carries the ability to negatively impact ones ability to earn an honest living. Shame on all of you who've participated in this ugly little pass time.

Yes, but with a total of two posts here between the two of you nobody here knows anything about either of you. Your endorsement (which may be sincere) carries little weight.

Exactly... first thing new Nomads ought to do is to introduce themselves, tell us what it is the makes Baja California special (to you)... Perhaps some story from an earlier or first trip to Baja... You know, act like you want to be friendly BEFORE asking us to pay you for something... It's called 'qualifying' you as a 'realperson' a specially as a real 'Baja person'... THEN you will have all the support and business possible from us!

elizabeth - 2-22-2009 at 11:14 AM

This may be a wonderful, useful business...but, calling being a prison guard and bail bond enforcer, 30 years of law enforcement experience is really stretching it. I'd think if you wanted someone to assess your security you might want someone who's been an actual cop with burglary investigation experience.

And, just what experience do have to call yourself a Mexico transportation expert?

Just asking....

Just a few questions for us here on the board to get to know you better..........

BajaGringo - 2-22-2009 at 11:58 AM

And we want to see a copy of your passport, drivers license, social security card and birth certificate. A note from your mom would be nice too...

Bajahowodd - 2-22-2009 at 01:57 PM

Oh no! Look what's back!

Interesting that given three days to come out of the closet, Sr. Bajaray has not resurfaced.

joel - 2-22-2009 at 02:29 PM

This board is tough. That guy got jumped.

Bajahowodd - 2-22-2009 at 02:38 PM

Perhaps. But David got it right.

shari - 2-22-2009 at 03:38 PM

NOmad calling Ray...so..yeah...sorry for the assault but I agree with David on this....although not necessary, it's nice to introduce yourself, so it isnt too late...plus a website link might be nice too.

I have been thinking that this type of business would be surfacing these days...was wondering when we were gonna see this kind of service offered... which sounds like a good idea in many places.
So ray baby...it's never too late to make amends and do things right...or at least the "nomad" way..or is it guey...guey. Suerte on your new venture.

Damn. And when I tried to get shoefetish as my handle, I was told I would have to be shoefetish23.

akbear - 2-23-2009 at 09:32 AM

I have known Ray for 8 years. He is a long time home owner here in Los Barriles and a home contractor. He is building his own home north of town.

I have never heard or seen anything negative about his work or personal life. He goes out of his way to help others. With the rise in break ends, he was trying to let people know that there are things you can do to help you from getting ripped off.

If you would like to talk with me about Ray, just u2u me.
