David Butterfield is trying to talk a friend into buying Loreto Bay. This person is evidently from Butterfield's "Civano" days. He still. does. not.
get. it.
LB and Civano are NOTHING alike. (Except the architecture style - which Butterfield stole.) Butterfield is a nightmare. He needs to go back to
Vancouver and stay there. Is he back because he can't get a job anywhere else? Kelly might "get" sustainability, but what does he know about Baja,
California?
I also hear that the LB maintenance dues are now $300/mo. That will keep going up once more of the amenities are built - and of course, the green
fees are outrageous for that course.

Maybe he just needs someone in town that he can hide behind.
After stating in his LB bio that he "directed the planning and creation of a new sustainabile community of 2,400 homes in Tucson", he now says he and
Kelly were "partners" in the new town of Civano. He's still lying about that. Civano was purchased from the City of Tucson, which had nurtured the
development from its early stages, and managed by Case Enterprises, owned by David Case and Kevin Kelly. Civano is still being built and has had the
support of Tucson's $30 million bonds for infrastructure, state funding, an Arizona Energy Office grant; a $4 million municipal bond for a
park/community center; and was also supported by Fannie Mae and the Metropolitan Energy Commission. Civano is a community where people live and go to
work, and has a very active HOA to run things. Butterfield must have brain damage or something.

It's bad enough in the states, but anyone entering into a situation where there are maintenance fees in Mexico is a shnook.
