That's $112 a meter! Pricey. For that price you could buy properties in all sorts of beautiful places in Mexico, even ones that have good airplane
service that you can count on being there next year, and aren't hot as hell in the summer.

original six.??? One on the corner just below Cafe Ole, and Alexanders that is upstairs, and the Pinada on the corner next to the hardware store on

prospective? What happened to Nellies real estate office on the malecon? If she did close it down, did she close the lounge & hotel too? Maybe
the new remodeled Mision group will be doing out of the area (u.s.a.) and will bring interested buyers into Loreto. Sure hope so. Love that

Dust free? In Loreto? But that seems like a pretty average asking price price
for a Loreto lot these days. Not that many are actually selling now.
I think Irlanda real estate., Juan Gomez's outfit on Salvatierra, is still in business. I loved the logo of the real estate office on Juarez: "Nature
As You Ever Dreamed." Sadly, it's now a Gran Pollo outlet. And the King Crab real estate place is still there but with a new name. I think Alexander
will survive because Alex has a great reputation and is a really good guy, and was selling here before things got crazy.
Yes, Nellie's Baja Boss offices have emptied. But I don't know any details. The elevated property next door, that has sat unfinished for years, is
under renewed construction, though. There is a substantial addition being made to the back of Mediterraneo, and another new restaurant nearing
completion on the Malecon. So while some things go, new things pop up.
There are many other small scale projects going on in town. On our little street we have two neighbors adding new buildings to their property; another
has built a wall on a lot and may build there. Down the street a new house was recently built, with only details left, and an apartment building was
recently finished. Overall, I'd say that construction activity in Loreto is high levels for this town. Problem is, this follows a period of a huge
boom with a big population growth and possibly unreasonable expectations. So we are seeing historically high levels on construction work in town, yet
at the same time some local contractors and construction workers are hurting because there are so many more workers in town now.
There have been few tourists but seems to me the last week or so things have been picking up.

Construction is Loreto will be changing, as CEMDA and SEMARNAT review Env. Impact Statements, and create a universally applied checklist for desal
plants, public comment periods as part of the developement approval process, and INAH approvals as well. In short, more oversight by government
entities and more input from local citizens may reign them in. The EcoAlianza organization in Loreto is very active in making sure the oversight is

Ok, finnaly back from whale watching and kayaking... no guys, I did not got it form Suze and tried to flip, nor Pineda. I did got this property two
years ago, and have done lots of work to get it ready to build. Now is ready and if someone is interested I will be happy to show it.

Loreto has been among the most desireable places for the old-time Baja Aficionados to settle down - amenities such as electricity, cell phones,
internet, city water; coupled with access to the "great outdoors" that brought us here in the first place.
However, the Time-share / Condo salesman have hijacked the town. They are in restaurants, food stores, near the ATMs and town square, and have really
left a lasting (negative) impression on visitors. Worse, they have fenced off all the outdoor areas that Loretanos used to enjoy. You can no longer
drive to "Doctor's Point", Ligui; even the trail to San Bruno is fenced all the way to the beach.ligui - 4-25-2009 at 07:15 AM

In January, when we drove to Ligui to snorkel the cliffs SE of Ensenada Blanca, the guard at the new guardhouse said we could not drive thru. He did
say that we could walk, carrying our Picnic ice chests, dive gear, etc, but is about 2 km to the area.
Last week, having heard that it was open, we tried to take a kayak to the beach ( to paddle to Isla Pardo, but we were again stopped at the gate by a
guard.

We sold our place there a few years ago, and, unfortunately, have not been back. We seldom drive down any more because it is so much cheaper and
faster to fly Alaska Air to Loreto. The new pavement will bring a lot more traffic and development, which is a negative for us retired folk who just
want to be able to explore with no fences.
The last time I flew my own plane to PF, I knocked the front gear off (pilot error, not bad runway). I wan't putting enough hours in to be safe, so

Hi Rockman , you can get ligui village and the ligui beach . The villa group is building in ensenada blanca and will not let you drive to the beach
area you are talking about .
