Driving to La Paz in April with time for sightseeing. Seeing these pictures just made April farther away! Wish we were on the road now. Thanks for the pictures. I loved the close up of the thorns and the one with the cloud hovering over the mountain.

Thanks, I needed that. I don't have time except weekends (from TJ), perhaps a weekend in La Bocana de Santo Tomas is in order.

That series of photos put a smile on my face--I looked just like your pancake.

The colors are so vibrant, and that water made me want to jump in. Thanks for sharing!

Are young burros called burritos? Curious (and demented) minds want to know.

I have always truly enjoyed your trip pix, Ged, and these are great - just what the doctor ordered for the rainy season in our bay area. I especially like that picture of the washboard road... think I'd need a kidney belt before the ride.;D

What does that Hotel Chola cost a night? Do they have wifi and room service? Looks like a mighty fine accomodation for taking the wife down there.

Oh.....THAT Hotel Chola...:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Yep, they DO have room service....but not likely the kind you would be expecting....

An interesting area....south of there they were bagging pea gravel and shipping truckloads north...

And had smaller hotels there...
