seen any for sale in La Paz (Sams Club,Walmart or any furniture stores). Will post some pictures in the near future.

On the drive into La Paz from TS there are a few rustic wood furniture shops on the right hand side. Ive seen some solid looking bunk beds there.
Nothing fancy, just solid pine stuff that looks like it comes over from the mainland. There is also a shop in TS half a block north of the Maria
Bonita hotel and across the street next to the fax place that has similar stuff. I bought a few single beds there and they are solid and durable.
Many of those Soriana, City Club bunk beds made of cheap metal fall apart very quickly.

IKEA furniture-
I know IKEA has a loyal following of patrons. I just don't happen to be one of them. I saw a documentary a few years ago and their claim to fame and
business breakthrough is that they ship furniture (and everything else) flat to save shipping charges. I totally understand and respect that
philosophy. They EXPECT the customer to put in the sweat equity of putting the pieces together.
That's fine and dandy for Joe-Blow homeowner, but when a customer wants me to put together a light fixture with 47 parts and they are all in metric
and don't fit on standard US electrical boxes... ( and then they gripe when it costs them 2.5 hours labor for me to put together their $23 "good
deal" light fixture... and suddenly their $23 fixture ended up costing them $200.....)
Follow WOOOOSH's thought.........furniture designed by Swedish... constucted by Chinese... with instructions written by Britains....interpreted in the
assembly instruction pamphlet by Pakistani and translated by translators in India into Spanish......can you imagine how the product would end up?
