shutting down all the time. I tried to open it myself but am afraid of busting something so I stopped....

Just take your time, open it on a towel, use the proper screwdriver and don't lose any screws.
I've taken apart lots of laptops. You'll do fine.DENNIS - 2-28-2009 at 02:01 PM
Bring it down to Sharky's. I'll take care of it.
There's nothing like a sterile, dust-free environment

LOL it just so happens my computer probs are most likely the result of my Wife spilling a beer on my keyboard!!
Wonder how worried I should be about electrostatic discharge frying something though....
There must be some good computer shop in Ensenada though!!!bajadock - 3-1-2009 at 11:58 AM

We took our 2 Toshiba laptops to Best Buy. The guy tried pushing different things he could do etc.
I told him I had called and wanted the $30 cleaning no more,
no less!
And I don't have to see whats in these boxs.
He did say they were 2 of the dirtest laptops he had ever cleaned.
Then I told him we lived in Mx.DENNIS - 3-1-2009 at 01:46 PM

Let me see if I can make this clear enough to follow.
On Reforma, HWY 1, at the corner of Juarez which morphs into Cortez [same street, also called Fifth Street] is a Soriana's grocery store. That is
in the Limon shopping center.
Behind Soriana's, in the same, large square block is the phone company.
Park at the market and walk around the block. You won't miss it.
