Apparently this Uruapan is in Michoacan, not the Ejido Uruapan in Baja between Maneadero and Santo Tomas.

Interesting.....TV was playing in the background behind me and I heard the words BAJA drug violence when they ran the short video.....it sounds like
they tried to make it something closer than it was 
.....I will take it as
"good news" that it wasn't in BAJA...

Yep, I found a story online and sounds like it was on the mainland.
It's really a nice town/city in the mountains SW of Guadalajara; but, Michoacan has been a stronghold for shady characters for years.
