Are they still giving you grief at the border bringing lumber into Baja?
Last year they were looking for some kind of "fumigation certificate" is this still the case or is it back to normal?

Yes

Without a bribe they won't let you cross.

Lots of grief...ever since Home Depot bought a seat in the presidents cabinet, Department of price doubling and lousy inventory control. They want you to buy locally.

I plan to bring 20 port orford cedar 2" x 6" x 8' to Loreto next fall for double doors. Am I going to have a problem getting them here?

Only if they see 'em

Wrap them up and hide them under your other stuff. Then pray you get a green light.

A friend brings down 35 sheets of plywood evry couple of weeks. The stack doesn't show above the tailgate (the truck has a cap), and the Rancho adjustables make it look as if the truck is empty. He hasn't gotten "revision" yet.

Probably not. If they stop you, just claim stupidity and grovel a little. Your load is a reasonable amount to transport across without creating an international incident.
You might glue a ten dollar bill to one of the top boards. That'll be good for a laugh anyway.

I don't know, Terry. If you try to trick these guys, it just makes matters worse. They've seen it all.
