Is it Necessary/Practical to Return FMT's at Tijuana?

Do most, some, any people bother to turn
in expired fmt's when crossing back to the US at TJ?
I believe it 's technically required,
but logistically I can't see a way to
get back to Mex Immigration,
I know the area well, and can't see
a way back to Mex Imm, except
a 5 -6 blk. walk, and can't see them
doing anything with an expired fmt
except toss it in la busera

If it was, there are a whole lotta scofflaws. Actually, I don't even think they maintain actual records that would identify to whom they are issued.

Not necessary, and...

certainly not practical. Nothing in Mexico is practical. I don't know where 'la busera' is located...DK would know, but that's a good a place as any.

You can mail them in once the 180 day period is expired...

The 'place' (La Busera) Dave said I would know where is, is mis-spelled ... try LA BASURA !

Should I add 'that place' to the list that already includes Los Barriles, Guerrero Negro and Puertecitos???

Sorry to say that I am remiss in not having read the fine print on the back. Mail them? Is there instructions with an address? And again, I've not seen any evidence that a record is kept. Only can assume that the guy at the border forwards the copies to La Basura?

Don't even bother sending them in. There is no control system on those 6 month permits.
