When I click on either U2U or "You have XX messages . . . ,"
my computer blinks slightly, but doesn't open to the messages.
What gives?Russ - 3-23-2009 at 01:15 PM
Are you logged in?bajalera - 3-23-2009 at 01:23 PM
Of course.BMG - 3-23-2009 at 01:26 PM
Try right clicking the link and choose 'open in new window' or 'open in new tab'. You might want to also try re-starting your computer again.
At your age?

Dave was often beaten severely by his grandmother. That's why he doesn't want old ladies to have any fun.DENNIS - 3-23-2009 at 02:07 PM

Looks like your computer is blocking beer commercials.
Severely?

Nah. Just some harmless role play. Helped with my socialization. longlegsinlapaz - 3-23-2009 at 02:57 PM
Lee, get it resolved? Or do you still need help? Pleasant non-harassing help!BajaDove - 3-23-2009 at 03:41 PM
Lee can't help but it's good to hear from you.Russ - 3-23-2009 at 03:42 PM
Honest!! My comment was meant sarcastically. I've done that before and when I logged in, all was well.bajalera - 3-23-2009 at 05:25 PM
Sorry, Russ. I thought you were one of the off-the-top guys.
And yes, Carol, I'm still getting blinks but nothing else.David K - 3-23-2009 at 05:26 PM
Sound like you have a pop up blocker activated... since u2u's are a pop up on Nomad... ???longlegsinlapaz - 3-23-2009 at 07:34 PM
Lee, have you tried clicking on the U2U button down at the bottom of each post within a thread? See if you can get into U2U by clicking on that
little blue button down below: PROFILE ~ EMAIL ~ FIND ~ U2Ubajalera - 3-23-2009 at 07:58 PM
Well, I tried all those things and nothing worked. So I had a shot of tequila (sipped, not gulped), came back and tried again--and got into U2U with
no poblems.
Drinking is good.BMG - 3-23-2009 at 08:00 PM

What brand of tequila?
Just in case my u2u stops working.bajalera - 3-23-2009 at 09:58 PM
Herradura Anejo
But watch out for those poblems, they can do you in.

Whatever. I do know that my own security suite has a problem that forces me to disable my firewall to allow me to log in. Seems that the nomad website
likes cookies.BajaNomad - 3-24-2009 at 02:49 AM
Nomad site identifies you by the cookies - so must be enabled.
If the u2u window does not open, try holding down the Ctrl key (Windows or Linux machine; possibly the Command button on a Mac) while you click on the
link. That's pretty much the standard override of the popup blocking software likely to be the cause of such an issue.

Doug...that should work for any pop-up, right?
Edit: after re-reading the statement...that was a silly question...
