Went to US via SY yesterday in our motorhome. Just where the shops began a 40' 5th wheel rig started to cross from the far right causing real havoc.
We in our 24' motorhome in the far left -23-24 lane watched and finally realized the sign near the linea read all Motorhomes and trailers must cross
in lanes 22-24 due to construction. You cannot read the sign until your already commited. The 40ft rig of nice canadian couple really needed help,
the mistake was not well received by the usual jerks that are in a hurry.

That area brings out the very worst in people. They act as they never act in any other place on earth. The Canadians should have kept going straight
to the gate. After some nasty scolding from the U.S. people, they would have sent them on their way.

I saw that change for motorhomes crossing too. Only the two left lanes. It is a total zoo when a big vehicle cuts across that many lanes- everyone
re-jockeys for lane positions and uses the mototrhome or bus as a shield.
What would you have to do in a motorhome if you were on the other side (lanes 1-12)?

In the 2 right lanes, coming under the arch, you can see the hanging metal & gouges where 12 foot plus vehicles have been damaged. The arch is
just too low at that point.
I had to move 2 lanes left to get under the arch last winter. That was a shouting match!!
I got out & explained the problem to a woman next to me - she said "Go to the back of the line". I told her "This is Mexico. You can't get there
from here."

Border line can really have some jerks in it for sure.
Here's a good one for ya all.
I was stopped in the line at SY.
A guy cut in front of me from the moving lane to my left too close and drug his right quarter panel along the corner of my brush guard bumper.
The dent was 2 feet long.
He stops his car and gets out, now blocking 2 lanes and comes back yelling at me for hitting him.
I recommend to the half pint young man that I have a limited amount of verbal abuse I will take for his stupidity, and suggest he get back in his car.
My friend and I notice he is then on his cell phone.
10 minutes later 2 cops ride up on bikes, take a look at us and go by out of sight
They return in a few minutes and start walking along beside us saying nothing.
Once we get along the currio shops they stop the lanes to the right and direct me to pull out of line next to our parked buddy standing smuggly behind
his car.
One of the cops tells me to get my docs and get out.
I pull reg, DL and my annual, full coverage Lewis & Lewis Ins policy out, place the policy on top and give it to the cop.
I then show them the physical and very obvious evidence of the dent on his car, that there is no way I could have made it by hitting him.
It was so obvious an idiot could tell the facts.
The cop gives me back my docs, asks if I have any damage, which I don't.
He then asks the young Mexican man for his papers.
He claims he is a National, he is driving a CA plated car, has no DL or Reg for the car.
Well as we dissappear on down the line the young man is in hand cuffs sitting on the curb as they all happily wait for the tow truck to impound his
car.
Sweet!:
What's that saying about Liars???

It is a nightmare in any vehicle, except for maybe a motorcycle....
Great story Gadget! It is nice when justice prevails!
