Here are some sunrise photos taken in Conception Bay. Can you help me with a project by picking a favorite one? Please indicate which by it's number
and I'll edit my album according to Nomad opinion.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did taking these 40-some photos. I didn't want to inundate you with that many photos all at
once, so thought I would post them in sets of 7.
Here's the first set of 7...a week of Baja sunrises. Please choose one and I can finish this project. Gracias, amigos.

Pompano...
They are all beautiful... the dawn colors are so vibrant in 5 & 6, but my personal favorate is #1...
Looking forward to seeing the others...
LindaRuss - 4-10-2009 at 06:07 AM
I like #5 best so far. Next batch we'll narrow it down some more.DENNIS - 4-10-2009 at 06:37 AM
Yeah...I'll take five. Crop a bit of the flare on the left side of #1, and it'll be a contender.
Tough choice to make, Roger. Seems the area won't give up an unacceptable shot.Timo1 - 4-10-2009 at 06:57 AM
# 5 for meBob H - 4-10-2009 at 07:08 AM
#1 is very nice but seems a bit old... and tattered. Is it an image of an old photo?
My pick on this series would be #5
Bob HDavid K - 4-10-2009 at 07:16 AM
Roger... #5 Natalie Ann - 4-10-2009 at 07:22 AM
The photo may be old and tattered, a bit like me.... but I think it's the silhouette of that boat with the motor lifted, the angled poles, the anchor
line makes me vote for number 1.
That said, number 2 is so simple with such lovely colors.... I like it too.
NenaCochi - 4-10-2009 at 07:44 AM
For drama of the whole sunrise ,7 could lead then 5 and then 6. But 5 is a dandy by itself.Frank - 4-10-2009 at 07:50 AM

Skipjack,
Showing your knowledge of photography and composition.
You are making it tough Roger
fixtrauma - 4-10-2009 at 09:22 AM
#5 definite (at least with the teaser of the first 7 pictures). My eyes are first drawn to the intensely colored sky but soon lower to the stone
walkway. The walkway draws me in even more to the picture. Of course the palm on the right adds much.
Usually when viewing beautiful pictures from around the world they are just that.....beautiful pictures. It is even better having stood on that stone
walkway and looked out over that view (didn't have the vibrant color) that makes it more enjoyable.
Looking for the rest.BAJACAT - 4-10-2009 at 10:18 AM
Like DK #5 is my pick..
Next set 8 - 15

They are all beautiful, one of the reasons that I love living on the bay. I choose #524baja - 4-10-2009 at 01:30 PM
5 & 14 are my fav's, but if I can only choose 1 fav it will be #5.
What breathtaking photo's, and people wonder why we all love BAJACochi - 4-10-2009 at 01:51 PM
a vote must go to 14, but 11 is the Sea of Cortez version of the green flash.BajaNuts - 4-10-2009 at 02:04 PM
#5 in the first set-love the palm silouette (#3 would be cool if you could crop out the arch and chairs)
#13 in the second set- it very dramatic
all of them are beautiful, and several have the classic tropical sunrise colors that we all love.
Are we supposed to pick a fav or will there be more? or maybe a face-off between the top 2?BajaNuts - 4-10-2009 at 02:06 PM
What's the project? Would that influence our choices?David K - 4-10-2009 at 02:10 PM
Roger.. all are good... hard to pick one favorite... of the second group, I like #11.
3rd set
Pompano - 4-10-2009 at 03:46 PM
Note:
I will post all the remaining sunrise photos in sets of 7. (I have about 8 -1/2 sets.) As the choices progress, I will add the current top 3
choices to the new sets of 7 so you don't have to scroll back and review at every new set.
Then please pick one from each entire set as we go along.
You can stay with your first choice if you think it is better than any new photo shown.
At the last post we will then tally the choices and have a face-off of the leading photos...
.. resulting in the final best sunrise photo of my album.
I will then make it my 2009 desktop background, use it for my stationary, and my next Xmas card. Thanks again, and the cold beers and snacks are on
me...either Baja or Up North.

Number five illustrates why I will choose the Bay of Concepcion over Alaska. 20 is a close second, but there are too many distractions.
Thanks for posting these. I can enjoy the view whilst in the ice and snow.
Peace,

Sure Linda,
Felipa is visiting at sister Madalyn's home in Boise now. You can contact Maddie to inform our watercolor amiga. Feel free to use any one of my
photos that you like...just copy and paste, presto.
I have some more sunrise pics coming, though, so you might want to wait till all horses have finished the race.Lindalou - 4-11-2009 at 11:29 AM
I will wait. Maddie and I still email every once in a while. Thanks RogerLaTijereta - 4-12-2009 at 08:48 AM
There are some nice front runners in the race, and I was going with #.., but maybe I should wait to the home strech to place my bet..
Rumor in the padock is there is a dark horse in this race..
Sorry about the delay..I was..uh.. Easterized?..Yeah, that's it..a little Easterized.

Okay, a voice on the computer phone is telling me to get going again with this project. My wife, the voice, keeps complaining I never listen to her
(or something like that). What I really need are minions.
Nomads...Thanks for the great help in picking a 'best' sunrise. I know it's a daunting task, and I'll endeavor to post all the sunrises
today...come hell or high water.
Here's how the selections stand as of today:
#5 = Ist place
#11 = 2nd place
#14 = 3rd place
In all I have 51 sunrise photos for you to review. So far you have reviewed 21..leaving 30 to go. Are you up for that many? Tell you what..I'll
post the remaining 30 in 2 batches.
Quoting LaTijereta, "There are some nice front runners in the race, and I was going with #.., but maybe I should wait to the home
strech to place my bet..
Rumor in the padock is there is a dark horse in this race.."
No dark horses that I know of, LaTijereta...just lots of sunrises. Excess is never too much in moderation.
Here's the 3 current frontrunners, followed by the next batch of sunrise photos. Please pick 1 favorite and we'll kick this can along.
