Name of range containing Mt. Thetis?

None of my maps show a sierra name for this range. All the other ranges seem to have a name... unless it is considered part of Las Gigantes?

How about some details? Where do you see a mountain by that name, in Baja? A quick look at the Baja Almanac and Lower California Guidebook didn't produce any results.

I have always considered that part of the "Sierra Guadalupe," at least that is what my rancher friends there say is traditional.

Okay, I see it on my OLD 1980 AAA map... It is not on the newer ones. It is not on the Mexican topo, that I can see.

So, CP... is that where you saw it, on an older AAA map?

I am not sure what your question is asking... You found Mt. Thetis on your old AAA map but not new? Mt. Thetis we find on our newer maps along with 1990+ AAA maps. The locals don't seem familiar with that name. I think they call the summit San Pedro.
Don't know if I clarified anything here....

But I am all for accepting that the range name is Guadalupe!

I ordered new AAA maps today. Looking forward to seeing what is on it.

Hi David,

Along with the older AAA map, Mte. Thetis is on a 2006 International Travel Maps. But who knows where they got their sources...maybe old AAA maps? (-:
