Ok, that rock looks like it is from the La Plurisma or San Javier area.

here's a hint: there is a broken dam @ the entrance of the canyon. (broke after a big flash flood)

Great area west of Mulege, cave paintings, giant cardons, forests of palo blanco and an experimental desert farm (low-water use crops).
