i am looking for a second spare. i saved the best old tire when i bought new ones to put on as a second spare. cheap steel or alloy, as long as it's
cheap.
any ideas?Bajaboy - 4-14-2009 at 07:56 PM
I'd try Discount Tire..I got a spare there many years ago for like $30DianaT - 4-14-2009 at 08:15 PM
Can't find the name or address right now, but there is a salvage yard out in Eastlake that specializes in Toyotas. We bought an extra rim there for
our 2003 Tundra--a good one. We had the tire.
Now, if I can talk John into buying the new vehicle I want, and he sort of wants, we will end up with the perfect thing for you----our just slightly
bent rim and tire from Gonzaga bay---great for a second spare.

I bought a used alloy to use as a second emergency spare off eBay a few years ago. Cheapest one I see right now on there (I think I found one for
less than this when I was looking) will set you back $59 incl shipping:

Well, I fell in love with the new Rav---but it is highly unlikely I will be riding in one soon unless it is owned by someone else. Tundra is far more
practical for what we need and it is paid for. Bajaboy - 4-15-2009 at 09:39 AM

I forgot to mention this in my post above...the tire/rim I bought was a discard.
