Thanks, Russ. Don't know what the star/satellite/planet is, but it appeared to come up under the moon, pass behind it, and out the top.

I am envious, Bill. I sat out on my seawall having coffee this morning about 5 and gazed at that beautiful sight..then realized I had no damn
camera!!
I was trying to nudge the moon over just a bit..and see Venus disappear..

edit to change the planet..Jupiter to Venus. I forgot what day it was! Venus, the "morning star," was to the lower left of the Moon at first light
today. After sunrise, the Moon covers the planet for a while.

Pomp.......So, it is Venus. It does look like the Pakistan flag, with the star broken loose and falling out. I was 25 miles out of the marina on the
way to Catalana getting ready to try (in vain) to make bait, and had my camera at the ready.
(edited to reflect Pomp's correction. I would never have known the difference. Seen one of those planets, you've seen them all.......)

Bill..my error. See my post edit. Jupiter was the bright object next to the moon 3 days ago. This one is Venus. Sorry about the foul-up. You know
how it goes down here..losing track of days of the week is an occupational hazard.

Here's another tidbit of info for the rest of you Baja stargazers. We will have a nice fireworks show for the next couple of nights..not spectacular,
but neat, nevertheless. The Lyrid meteor shower is at its best the next two-three nights. On the down side, it is not one of the year's best showers.
But on the up side, there is no moonlight to interfere with the show.

La Tijereta........I could not make bait at the deep bait hole north of Monserrat, so changed my plan and trolled for marlin/dorado east of Carmen.
Caught no marlin, although I saw a couple, but did catch 15 dorado to about 12 pounds. Here is a photo of one of them

Thanks for the report.. I am also hearing that the cabria and pargo fishing has gone off over on the north end of Carmen around Pta Lobos...

Hey, good to see these positive fishing reports. I will add mine.
The superb jurel (yellowtail) fishing off San Marcos Island last Monday morning was like old times. Must have been at least 2 acres of them on the
surface ..and nicely scattered. You could do just about any type of fishing you wanted. Tossing bait, iron, or trolling Mirrolures....or even those
old-fashioned cedar plugs and Rapalas. 
We would fish one boil..nail one, bring it to boat, and wait until the big school surfaced again nearby. Then we motored close..but not into the
boil..and did our thing. Lots of hookups and lots of fun.
Boated 3..enough for 3 households. They were nice sized...to 25-30lbs.
No camera..sorry folks.
