Yesterday morning when I was looking out my kitchen window, the sun was so perfect on this flower that I could not resist taking this.
I dont know the name of the plant but it is a gnarly looking thing with a crown of green leaves and this gorgeous flower.

We call ours a rosa del desierto. I don't know if that's really the name, but I like it, and people seem to know what I'm talking about.
