We are considering driving past El Rosario this trip (after a stay in San Ignacio).
Anyone have any suggestion for something south of Ensenada... secure parking and dog friendly pleaseBajahowodd - 5-2-2009 at 02:36 PM
You might want to check with these folks in San Quintin. Lovely place, but not sure about pets.
Yes, Trotters love the place and they always travel with 2 dogs.
They do fill up at times so make a reservation.BajaGringo - 5-2-2009 at 02:49 PM
We have stayed there with a Doberman and a Labrador. great place for dogs and lots of room for them to run outside the hotel. Just be sure to bring
some small plastic bags to clean up after them.
Guillermo and Carmen are great folks...Bajahowodd - 5-2-2009 at 02:52 PM
Nice guys. I've only stayed there once, didn't have a pooch and didn't notice any. Now we all know!Marie-Rose - 5-2-2009 at 03:06 PM
Fabulous... will make a reservation.
How's the restaurant?BajaGringo - 5-2-2009 at 03:19 PM
The restaurant and bar are great. However they do not serve breakfast and are closed on Mondays. The same folks own a restaurant in town where we go
to breakfast called the Viejo San Quintin.
At least I think that's what it's called. Right next to the hospital on the north side.
When you make your reservation tell them Ron sent you. They will tack on an extra 20% surcharge...

Once we traveled with FOUR dogs, but we did not stop.
Do call. Great place and we hope they expand. They will need to do so soon!

Ah yes; Zeke and Rita were very happy to be rescued !! BajaGringo - 5-2-2009 at 04:54 PM
Guillermo shared with me the other day that they are drawing up some plans to add as many as 20 more units. I was joking with them that I am going to
stop promoting them as a couple of times lately I wanted to stay (mid-week) and they were full.
Business is good and it couldn't happen to nicer people IMHO...Lauriboats - 5-2-2009 at 06:11 PM
They do allow dogs and the restaurant has happy hour from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm two for one drinks. We have stayed there alot lately, enjoy.BajaGringo - 5-2-2009 at 06:25 PM
What do you drive Lauriboats? I bet we have seen each other as I have too...mooose29 - 5-2-2009 at 06:58 PM
We always stay at Jardines great place, great people, and they have no problem with the dogs in the rooms. The food is great and the margarita's
strong. It is getting busier and reservations are almost a must.BajaGringo - 5-2-2009 at 07:19 PM
Now I am sure that I have probably seen some of you guys there and not recognized you as I am there 3 out of 4 weeks in the month, although during the
day I am mostly out on the beach with the new house or out and about on business. Any of you notice an extra dirty, mud caked, gold colored Yukon
Denali, usually with some smartass scribblings in the rear window dirt???
That would be the "BajaGringo Washboard Express"

BajaGringo,
I will look for your dirty Yukon Denali next time we are there. Our truck is a 2007 Silver Dodge 4x4 mega cab, normally fairly clean unless it
happens to be raining in San Quintin, lol. I will look for you next time we are there. But, as I have told you before your avatar really does worry
me, at least you haven't violated your conditions of parole yet. LauriBajaGringo - 5-2-2009 at 08:00 PM
As terms of my parole I am required to remain on my best behavior. Guillermo and Carmen will bail me out, er... I mean vouch for me...

Would love to know they have more units, only because all too often, I don't reserve in advance because I don't know my schedule until I'm moving.
Just wonder about financing such a thing right now. Look at Baja Cactus. The darling of so many folks on this site. Packed to the gills so often. Yet
it appears that for whatever reason, Antonio has not proceded with the next phase.
Maybe if Ron would finally move into his digs, there'd be an extra room available at Jardines.BajaGringo - 5-3-2009 at 02:02 AM
Jajajajaja...
Maybe even two or three. I often drag family and friends down here with me...
